Japanese Media Powerhouse IMAGICA Lab. Teams with SEEEN

EL SEGUNDO, USA (November 9, 2020) — SEEEN announced today that it will be offering its cloud-based and AI-platform services to  IMAGICA Lab, Japan’s largest post-production company. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) explores the partnership between SEEEN, Imagica and commercial partner Sumitomo Corporation, a SEEEN investor. With this MOU,  IMAGICA Lab. will integrate SEEEN’s technology to enhance services and solutions for its clients, and it will also be able to enhance and improve the efficiency of its own operations by utilizing CreatorSuite and JetStream, SEEEN’s innovative video management tools introduced last month.

“We are very excited about this collaboration,” Todd Carter, the CEO of SEEEN, said. “ IMAGICA Lab. specializes in producing feature films, television shows, commercials and promotional videos, among a host of other production services. CreatorSuite will allow  video content managers to upload videos to various platforms with a single click. They will also be able to recognize objects and people within a video, and provide an easy-to-use interface to explore featured sections with our ‘micro-moments’ technology.”

Carter adds that JetStream, a multimodal video intelligence API (Application Programming Interface), will also be an integral part of the service package, giving  IMAGICA Lab access to SEEEN’s breakthrough AI models. This includes Face, Logo and Object Recognition that automatically recognizes thousands of objects, people, places, speech and actions in stored media, saving hundreds, if not thousands, of work hours for the Japanese company.

“We will be working together with IMAGICA Lab.  on a Product Introduction Plan for the Japanese market and also provide support with video analysis and demonstrations to customers,” Carter said. “We are looking forward to working with this innovative company, as well as strengthening our relationship with Sumitomo Corporation, a main investor of  SEEEN.”
